Flip Robinson aka Hodor’s double
Highlights
Your driver and guide Flip Robinson was a body double for Hodor in Game of Thrones® so he has lots of behind-the-scenes stories! His private VW Transporter tour allows you to visit places on the Causeway Coast and Glens of Antrim that the coach tours simply cannot reach!
You’ll visit the 600ft high Dragonstone cliffs from season seven, where Jon bonded with Drogon for the first time. Another location only accessible by car is the Stormlands location where Renly confronted Stannis for the last time. You’ll also enter the cave in the Stormlands where Melisandre gave birth to a dark spirit. The same cave was used for Euron and Jaime’s final fight to the death. You’ll also visit the location of the Iron Islands Kingsmoot, the Kingsroad trees through which Arya and Gendry escaped King’s Landing and so much more!
Flip can also pick up and drop off in the Belfast area.
Click ‘Giant Tours Ireland website’ for more details.
We had an amazing day with Flip visiting the Causeway Coast and GOT Filming locations. Sharing stories of Hodor and Mountain on set while recreating scenes from the series was a highlight of our Ireland trip.

Practical Information
All additional taxes are within the listed price. Please consider any additional costs for you such as snacks, postcards, etc. Our guided walking tour at the Giant’s Causeway takes the free public access road to the Causeway stones. However, if you wish to enter the Giant’s Causeway visitor centre – which is not necessary to visit the stones themselves – the National Trust charges an entrance fee of £10.50 per person.
Flip recommends you wear a sturdy pair of broken-in hiking boots or strong training shoes/sneakers. It is preferable to dress in layers with clothing that you can remove or add as necessary. Waterproofs are essential in our changeable weather yet also bring sunscreen in the hope that the sun shines – in Northern Ireland it is possible to get all four seasons in one day!
